Benefits of a blog

  1. Easy to create: Creating a blog is as easy as telling your friend what did you do last weekend. There is no need of you being an author for a big publishing division. Just post the artciles, the way you feel.
  2. It’s free: A blog can easily be created with a free hosting provider like blogger or wordpress without much knowledge of hosting and other technical know how. I will disuss these in detail in the coming blog posts.
  3. Easy to set-up: A blog software is generally very user friendly. Even a naive user can set-up a blog in few minutes.
  4. Blog readers: By every passing day there is a increase in the number of blog readers. It is because of the fact that people find it interesting to read a blog post rather than a full story about the particular product.
  5. Discover and share: The biggest advantage of blog I feel is its ability to discover and share. For example, you want to buy a product or you want to go to a particular resort, there are few questions which comes in the mind of the consumer: Are these companies will be delivering what they have promised? Am I the only one taking these products? What if the food is not up to the mark in the resort? These are the common questions which knock you down when you go to shopping. Now, if there is something to read about that particular product from a consumer who had used that, thats totally a different story. You will be more confident on buying those as 8 out of 10 people had supported it.
  6. Search Engine Optimized: A blog is always SEO friendly as there are a lot of keywords involved in a blog post. More tags means more priority in search engines.
  7. Make money from your blogs: You can use Google Adsense in your blogs or any other ad-tool to get paid for your blogs.
  8. Making you popular: If you are a good blog writer, people subscribe to your blogs and they love to read it as soon as you post them.
  9. Comments: A blog allows readers to post comments which will let you know how readers feel about your articles.
  10. Chronological order: The date and time of post is retained in the blog so that readers can have an idea at what date the following post has been made. Also, some softwares give you the liberty of selecting the mood while posting your blog entry. For example, an author can select a happy mood from the options which shows the reader that the author was in a good mood while making the post.
  11. Effectiveness: A blog is quite effective as it gives a clear picture to what the author is up to, unlike the big stories which are quite boring to read.
