Hmmm…so you are getting an error while adding ad codes in header or footer of your smarty templates. To add Adsense codes or any other codes from companies like Infolinks, Adbrite, Kontera, Chitika, Smowtion, AdToll, BidVertiser, etc. you have to put the codes inside a literal tag like:
{literal}
Your ad code goes here
{/literal}
The reason for doing this is smarty templates are not able to translate your Javascript codes. Hence, we use the literal tags.
