Netcipia is a unique service where you can create both a free blog and a wiki. You can create a free profile and the best part is that you can add your blog link and RSS feed. Here you can create what they call as places. It is a virtual location on the Internet that you can share with your friends and colleagues (coworkers) by invitation. You can create pages in this place. Although a Netcipia place is based on a wiki, it also features a blog that enables you to easily publish daily or weekly information about your topics of interest. A place can also be divided into several spaces. A space is a collection of pages grouped under a same label. Why should you create spaces inside a place? For two main reasons:
- to better organize your information.
- and because it enables you to assign different user rights to each space.
The Necipia place is yours, secure and confidential. You can decide at any time to open the place to the public, or just to open one or various spaces. Netcipia places contain two text editors. A simplified editor that uses wiki syntax, and a WYSIWYG editor, that enables code-free formatting. Novice users should use the WYSIWYG editor. Advanced users will benefit from the greater speed and performance of the Wiki editor. So, the wiki acts as your front page and you can edit it as per your requirements. You will be getting four RSS feeds for Page, place, blog, and space. Well, this is the first site I have seen so far which provides RSS feeds for literally everything on your free site. On the right side under Toolbox you have the option to manage your page, place and space.
