Speed up your wordpress blog with W3 total cache

I have been using W3 total cache on few of my sites which were running out of RAM (in a VPS) and the results are satisfactory. The best part is that you can cache everything of your blog with the help of this plugin. These are the following caches which operate under W3 total cache:

  • Page Caching: Enable page caching to decrease the response time of your blog.
  • Minify: Reduce load time by decreasing the size and number of CSS and JS files. Automatically remove unnecessary data from CSS, JS, feed, page and post HTML.
  • Database Caching: Enable database caching to reduce post, page and feed creation time.
  • Content Delivery Network: Host static files with your CDN provider to reduce load time.

Pros of W3 total cache:

  1. Improves the performance of the blog to about ten times.
  2. Browser caching takes place after first page view.
  3. Page load time is greatly reduced.
  4. Good for sites which are receiving high traffic.
  5. Saves bandwidth usage.
