A sideblog is a separate mini blog placed in the sidebar of a blog. Items which can be put in the sideblog:

1. Updates: A sideblog can be a good way to display the updates about the blog.
2. Important points: If you have some text or links which you want your users to have a look then you can put it on the sideblog of your blog as its quite visible over there.

Steps to create a sideblog in Blogger blog:

These instructions are for the classic design. However, it can be used for any other design.

1. Login to your admin area.
2. Click on Template tab and then on Edit HTMl.
3. Find this code under <!– Begin #sidebar –>: 

<!–
<p>This is a paragraph of text that could go in the sidebar.</p>
 –>

Enter your text between <p> and </p> and remove the <!– and –>. This text will act as a sideblog for your blog. For example I have added the sideblog “This is a sideblog. You can add your items over here.” in the test blog: http://blogforthatsblog.blogspot.com
