Email list management refers to the development and maintenance of the email list. Nowadays everyone has a email list whether they are in business or not. You just need an email address for a list. For example you send email to your friends. Every email client has a feature to save the recipients email address called as address book. Take an instance that you mail your friends regarding New Year or Christmas. But if you send them an email about DVD shops having some discounts, how many will be interested in that. Say 30% of them are interested. What about the rest of the 70% what they gonna do about this email. Many people will simply delete it thinking, its of no use to them. But what if you collect his email address at the time of billing and send him emails of new products or say offer some discounts. Then he will definitely come to your store to buy the things. So this is what an email list can do for you. No matter what is the business you want to be in touch with your potential customers. There are other modes of contact like phones and letters. But we hate when someone gives a call about a product and now who’s gonna send letters. That’s the edge with emails. Its very cheap and doesn’t bother the customer. It just takes few seconds to read and you get all the info about a particular product.
