Scour’s purpose is to bridge the gap between searchers and relevant results. By providing a platform for the user to vote and comment on relevancy, searchers connect with one another creating a true social search community, attained through innovative solutions to meet the needs of today’s web searchers. Here’s how it works:

• My Profile: You can customize your account, set your search settings, and add features to your account.
• Sort by Engine: Get all your favorite search engines on one page and customize how the results are sorted.
• Connect: Connect with other Scour users based on searches of interest.
• Vote: You can vote for the useful results. The more votes users do, the more relevant the results become.
• Comments: You can view the site comments from others and submit your own.
• See Ranking: See how each listing ranks on Google, Yahoo and MSN.
• Scour Points: Earn points with every search as well as 25% of your referred friends points and cash in for Visa Gift Cards.

You will get one point each for Search, vote and comment. So the maximum amount of points per search is 3. For search there is a limt to get points. You will get paid for 100 searchonly i.e. you can make a mxaimum of 300 points per day from search. There is no limit for community contributions. They have two forms of rewards programme based on countries:

1. Countries participating in the following rewards program include: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, U.S., and U.K.
   • 6,500 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $25.00
   • 12,500 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $50.00
   • 25,000 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $100.00
2. Countries not listed above are still eligible to participate in the following rewards schedule:
   • 50,000 Rewards Points may be redeemed for $5.
